Clear the slate

Sat Jan 20, 2007, 9:33 PM
Life's been busy but the reason I've been away is that I sorta forgot that I had this account. I'm back. This post is mainly to clear the last one, which is nearly 2 years old.

Helm: Status Report

Tue Feb 22, 2005, 1:02 AM
So, I was going to switch over to a different user name
here but then I found out that I'd have to re-upload each picture individually.
And that would be a pain.  Then I realized that I'd lose all the comments and,
let's face it, I can use all the encouragement I get.  So the end result is that
I got a new name and then said, “Ah, fuck it.” with a heaving sigh of laziness.
And that's all because I wanted to print up business cards, to which Allison
asked, “Why?”  Well, I think it’d be all professional, as well as aiding my
laziness by enabling me to throw paper at people rather than go through the
trouble of saying my phone number or anything.

On a less work-fearing not; I’ve actually scripted, blocked
and (here’s the kicker.  Like, foot up the ass kicker) drawn (and then scanned,
edited, compiled, titled and saved) a comic strip!  And not just one.  Six!  I
put them up on a daily update, but that was six days ago so now it’s going to
switch to twice a week starting with the next strip. God only knows when that’ll
be.  It’s nomadic at the moment.  I intended on putting it up at Keenspace but
that takes at least two weeks to secure and set up an address. I started one at
DrunkDuck but they don’t impress me all that much.  I also put up a version
right here in our own backyard.  So here are the sites, and I’ll update with
it’s final resting place when I know it.

It’s about Freddy (who does not have the top of
his head, I know) and The Scream ala Edward Munch.  It’s not a whiney goth
comic.  It’s an Erisian/Dada experiment with perception and satire.  It’s a fun
sketch I do when I have time.  It’s funny, it’s literate, it’s questionable in
taste and it’s badly drawn.  You’ll love it.
